Hello Video Collectors! Welcome to the world of rare and obscure feature films on both DVD and VHS. Here at Tropic Twilight Company we have been scouring the globe for many years to assemble what we feel is the most diverse collection of genre movies available anywhere. We specialize in Horror, Giallo, Sci-Fi and Exploitation movies but our huge collection covers virtually every kind of movie; Action, Adventure, Sword and Sandal, Spaghetti and Euro-Westerns, Weird Westerns, Spy films, Jungle, Juvenile Delinquent, Crime, Mystery, Suspense, Comedies, Adult features from the 70's and even Serials. It is our intention to provide to the serious video collector movies that are not generally found in the mainstream video outlets. Most store-front video dealers are concerned with providing the most current movie entertainment available while we strive to find for you that elusive, seemingly impossible to acquire movie you saw long ago and would like to enjoy once more. Our primary mission is to provide videophiles the opportunity to acquire for your personal use only, many rare and wonderful films that have seemingly vanished over the years. The Tropic Twilight Company video library is the result of much love, dedication, and the desire to assemble and preserve as many of the so-called "Grade Z" films as possible. Hey, "Z", is a great letter! |

FAQS - VIDEO QUALITY, FORMATS, AND FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILMS
Everything in our catalogue is available in either DVD or VHS. We strive to offer the best quality possible on all of our videos although some of the really obscure items and those obtained from foreign sources can vary quite a bit. If you are a video collecting veteran, you already know this. If you are new to collecting, then you will surely find this out very quickly. To help with matters if a particular title is less than what would generally considered to be of reasonable quality a notation will follow the end of each synopsis stating for instance, (NOTE: Fair quality), (NOTE: Poor quality) etc. This applies to any other peculiarities of a feature such as time-coding or certain flaws that may be unique to a particular print of any given movie.
We are in the process of grading the quality of our titles with an A+ through D rating. This will be available on this website soon. Always feel free to e-mail us an inquiry about the quality of any particular title(s).
Why do we include films that are not of absolute optimum video quality? Simply because some features are so rare that a pristine print is un-obtainable. We feel it is better to offer a rare title as long as the customer is sufficiently aware that it may not be of the highest video quality.
Another point we would like to make is regarding whether or not any given print of a film is "UNCUT." While some video dealers make a point of such claims, for the most part, we do not. We always make an effort to find the most complete print of any video offered but this is not possible in all cases. This is particularly so with the works of certain directors who have released several different versions of their films over the years. We have done our best in this area. It is very safe to say that that vast majority of the imported titles we offer are decidedly fuller in content than the versions you will find in any domestic U.S. release.
Concerning FOREIGN LANGUAGE movies, most of those offered in the catalogue are dubbed into ENGLISH. Unless it is stated otherwise in the synopsis of the title, the movie is in English. There are still a number of films which are available only in their language of origin. In these cases, we have indicated in the listings in CAPS that these features are say, a FRENCH LANGUAGE IMPORT - NO SUBTITLES, or ITALIAN LANGUAGE IMPORT - NO SUBTITLES, or SPANISH, GE RMAN, etc.
Films that are in a foreign language but have English Subtitles are indicated as SUBTITLED IN ENGLISH. Most of the films that are LETTERBOXED are noted as such with the abbreviation (LBX).
Regarding a disc or tape you receive that is either defective or damaged in the mail: Once in a rare while this can happen. If this should be the case, do not worry about getting stuck. Simply return the damaged or defective tape (please leave it cued to the place of the defect, or in the case of a disc attach a note indicating the time the approximate time the problem occurs) and we will replace the tape (same title, of course) at no charge.
All titles are available in DVD or VHS and unless otherwise noted are priced at $16 each plus $4.50 postage and handling for the first tape and $1 postage and handling for each additional tape. Serials are priced at $24 each (two discs/tapes) and require an extra $1 for the second disc/tape. Hawaii residents must add 4% state excise tax. These postal rates apply only for orders shipped within the United States.
All videos are sent Priority Mail.
For FOREIGN ORDERS the following postage rates apply: CANADA $5 for the first disc/tape, $1 extra per additional disc/tape, EUROPEAN ORDERS $6 for the first disc/tape, $3 for each additional disc/tape, AUSTRALIA and JAPAN $8 for the first disc/tape and $5 extra for each additional disc/tape, SOUTH AMERICA $5 for the first disc/tape, $3 for each additional disc/tape. For FOREIGN ORDERS please make payment in U.S. Dollars or International Money Order only.
PayPal and Money orders are the preferred form of payment and bring immediate shipment. Checks are fine but they must clear first before shipment can be made. Because of the highly diverse nature of the videos contained in these listings, we must request that when ordering you state with your signature that you are over 18 years of age.
We will soon have an easy ‘click to order’ shopping cart for each of our many titles. This will be up and running very soon. Please check back. In the meanwhile if you wish to order a movie please e-mail us at twilightvideo@prodigy.net and we will e-mail you a PayPal invoice to take care of the credit /debit card process.
